Mt Lofty have all but secured the minor premiership in Hills Cricket Association A-grade competition following its 10th victory of the 2022-23 season last Saturday.
The Lofty Redcaps defeated visiting Kangarilla by 126 runs, with the win set up by a superb century by opening bat Josh Healey.
Healey raised his second century for the current campaign, hitting 138 from 137 deliveries faced as Mt Lofty tallied an impressive 6/251 from its 45 overs, before restricting Kangarilla to 9/125.
The win has left the Redcaps with a nine point buffer atop the ladder, with two minor rounds remaining.
Other winners during Round 16 fixtures were Uraidla, Aldgate and Meadows.
Defending Alexandra and Eastern Hills association A-grade premier Lobethal bounced back after a recent lean patch to defeat Strathalbyn by 165 runs.
