Secret appointment

WITH thanks to your correspondent, Clive Bulmer, the many readers of The Courier (August 31) now have an insight into the reasons why former Prime Minister Morrison secretively appointed himself Minister of five senior portfolios.   Apparently it was an act of total unselfishness generated by his concern that the Ministers he had previously appointed might not have been blessed with his robust, Covid defying good health and, hence, were at risk of collapsing or expiring to the detriment of good government.

If it is assumed that Clive Bulmer’s explanation of the former PM’s unprecedented actions might be creditable it also assumes that Scott Morrison possesses a modesty bordering upon self-sacrifice which millions of Australians were unaware of when they voted him out of office.
