Nuclear issues

WHETHER you are pro or anti nuclear power is no longer of any import.

It’s now just a matter of maths and the numbers don’t add up.

England is currently building one at Hinkley Point. They started in 2010 and it may be finished by 2027.

It then has to go through commissioning and pay down its own carbon debt before it can make carbon neutral electricity – conservatively another eight years.

We do not have 25 years to reduce our carbon debt. By then, it will be too late.
