A FAVORITE cry of climate warriors is ‘listen to the science’.

Sadly, they are referring to politicised science whilst remaining clueless to what the scientists are actually saying.

Last month marked the passing of Patrick Michaels who was a climatologist and a research professor of Environmental Sciences at University of Virginia for 30 years.

He was also a contributing author and reviewer for the IPCC.

Professor Michaels was one of many scientists to refute climate alarmism and science politicisation.

Scientific research that is funded by entities looking for a pre-determined outcome creates bias and distortion of the facts.

In similar ways the IPCC may be fundamentally flawed as its very existence depends on the alarmism it creates.

The attitude towards climate alarmism is changing as more people realise the price of decarbonisation is too high without gaining any significant benefits.

Decades and trillions of dollars were spent on decarbonisation, yet the world still considers fossil fuels to be the most sought-after energy commodity.

As nations reprioritise their needs, ‘net zero’ is rapidly slipping down the agenda and it won’t be long before emission targets become a bad memory consigned to the scrap heap of history – not unlike like the hysteria whipped up by the millennium bug.

The unfortunate downside is that millions of non-recyclable components from renewables which reached the end of their design life will end up in landfills.

Nations lucky enough not to be involved in military conflicts will only survive if they’re able to produce their own goods without their dependence on global supply chains.

This also means having reliable 24/7 energy – something that sunshine and sea breezes just can’t provide.

Perhaps we’re witnessing the death throes of climate alarmism with its supporters desperately eking out the last bit of mileage out of it. Whatever the case may be, energy or food rationing as a direct result of climate alarmism may be the straw that broke the camel’s back.
