AN interesting response to my letter previously published in The Courier.
It’s encouraging to know someone is paying attention.
I’m glad that Caroline Johnson’s concerns about any favoritism have been alleviated by placing Brian Measday’s regular contribution next to hers.
However, I strongly recommend she checks the meaning of misinformation, because there is nothing deliberately intended to deceive in any of my opinions.
In his attempt to discredit Professor Michaels’ climate research by the claim that some of it was funded by fossil fuel, Philip Birt has answered his own question.
Professor Michaels’ career spanned more than three decades, and the puny amount funded by fossil fuel over that period pales into insignificance compared to billions of dollars received by his detractors.
And yes, climate science is extremely politicised.
Getting back to climate alarmism, let us pick up the conversation when Europe and North America are covered with a blanket of snow in a few months.
Bad things happen when people are cold and hungry.
And let’s not forget that our major trading partner (China) may soon be involved in military conflict over Taiwan.
Our total dependence on the supply chain will be rigorously tested.
I seriously hope that we can avoid hardship, but thanks to zealous climate alarmism, we are much less prepared.
