A 17-year-old Aldgate resident is set to power her way to Malta, as she prepares to represent Australia at the International Powerlifting Federation Junior World Championships in August.
Ruby Olthoff played Aussie Rules football for 10 years, a sport she said showed her she had “natural strength”.
Last year, she started going to the gym and was pointed in the direction of powerlifting.
