Races postponed as jockey makes lucky escape

The Strathalbyn Cup was postponed after the first race on Sunday when a 21-year-old jockey was airlifted to hospital after falling from her horse 50 metres past the finishing post.

NZ jockey Kelsey Hannan had crossed the line on her horse Iva’s Dream during the first race of the day, but was thrown off when it appeared to clip heels.
