Preparations are underway to acclimatise an elephant before it makes a trip from Perth to Monarto Safari Park in late spring.
The male Asian elephant named Putra Mas, which translates to ‘golden prince’, is undergoing crate training with his keepers at Perth Zoo prior to his trip across the Nullarbor to his “forever home” at Monarto.
