The Lobethal CFS has become the first Hills brigade to receive a state-of-the-art Heavy Rescue Vehicle (HRV), which will be used to free people trapped inside a car after a road accident.

The HRV, which costs just under $500,000, is the first of its kind for the CFS and includes a winch that can be used to tow vehicles away from obstacles after a crash.
