A ‘William Morris Weekend’ is being held at the Church of the Epiphany, Crafers, to raise funds for the Anglican Parish of Stirling and its outreach programs.
The event will feature quilt and handicraft displays, along with Morris memorabilia. The main raffle prize is a Michele Hill original quilt, with other prizes including a large-format William Morris book, fabrics, appliqué books and quilt patterns.
The entry fee of $5 includes morning or afternoon tea with home baked goodiesc and there will be a trading table of plants, produce and sewing items.
Opening times are August 25, 10am to 4pm; August 26, noon to 4pm.
Proceeds from the weekend will help support a collaborative program between the Papunya Community and the Anglican Church; the Mary Magadalen Centre in Adelaide, and pastoral workers at Heathfield High School.
