Overcrowding issue solution

A local bus operator has suggested State Transport Services Minister Chloe Fox use his company for extra services to combat overcrowding on Hills buses.

Owner/operator of Lofty Coaches, Dean McGinty, is asking the State Government to use his company to deal with overcrowding on Hills bus routes.

Dean McGinty of Lofty Coaches lost nearly all his bus contracts to run school bus services last year and has issued a plea to Ms Fox to deploy his unused vehicles.
“Give us a go,” he said.
“We are here, we have excess buses, what is wrong with using us?”
Mr McGinty approached The Courier following last week’s article in which Shadow Transport Minister Vickie Chapman said Hills students catching buses to schools outside the region were treated like “second-class citizens”.
