Mt Barker’s revamped jazz festival proved to be a real hoot, drawing thousands of people to the region to see some of the music genre’s leading international and Australian acts.

The four-day event started with a street party.

Ticket sales and audience numbers at the inaugural Hoot! Adelaide Hills Jazz Festival exceeded expectations, with many of the 30 plus venues filled to capacity over the four-day event.
Up to 1000 people filled Gawler Street for the opening night procession and street party as the town’s main shopping precinct came to life with marching bands, dancers in colorful costumes and food and wine vendors.
