Dr Smith will have hoot on old instrument
Some of the world’s top modern musicians have tickled the ivories on Graeme Hollis’ Hammond B3 organ.

Mt Barker musician Graeme Hollis and his Hammond B3 electric organ which will be played by the master of the instrument, New York jazz legend Dr Lonnie Smith, next month.
Jazz legend Jimmy Smith, funk star James Brown, Deep Purple’s Jon Lord and US composer Tom Coster have all performed on the instrument during their Adelaide concerts.
Next month it will be played by another music master at the Hoot! Adelaide Hills Jazz Festival Mt Barker.
New York jazz star Dr Lonnie Smith – renowned for his unique style on the Hammond B3 electric organ – will play Mr Hollis’ instrument when he visits as a headline act.
“I said to someone about a year ago that if he ever comes to Adelaide I hope he uses my organ,” Mr Hollis said.
